A story that begins in 1988...
The Brasserie de Blaugies is a family business founded in 1988 by Pierre-Alex Carlier and Marie- Robert (Marie-Noëlle) Pourtois. At the time, craft beer production in Belgium was undergoing a major revival, and Pierre-Alex and Marie-Noëlle decided to embark on this exciting adventure. In the garages of the family home, a "Meura" brewing room was built, producing 750-litre brews a day.
Over the years...
Over the years, Brasserie de Blaugies has become a benchmark for craft beer, with a selection of 8 beers brewed with the greatest respect for tradition. All our beers are unfiltered and refermented in bottle or barrel, which gives them a unique and authentic taste.

2000
The next generation
In 2000, the sons take over. Kévin takes over the Brewery and is now the brewer.
2000
Le Fourquet
Cédric has opened his restaurant "Le Fourquet" opposite the Brewery, which will shortly be joined by a 6-room hotel.
2018
New building
In 2018, Kévin invests next door to the small brewery in a new building, housing a new Belgian brewing room with a Meura filter enabling 3000-litre brews to be made 4 times a day.
Today...
Today, Brasserie de Blaugies is a thriving business that has retained its family character and its commitment to quality and tradition. We are delighted to welcome visitors from all over the world to our brewery and restaurant and look forward to continuing to share our passion for craft beer and local cuisine with you.
